Title: Starfort?
Post by: Scorpio_Rocks on 11 January 2020, 11:38:50 PM
Hiya folks,

Other than the Irregular Miniatures 6mm "Vauban Starfort" Does anybody kindly know if anyone produces earthworks suitable for the late 17th century and 10mm figures?

The only thing my "google-foo" has come up with is a nice looking one from Pendraken - yet I can find no mention of it on the site! Was it discontinued? Am I going senile or blind?

TIA

We used to do one but it was discontinued a few years back.  The plan is to make a new modular starfort instead but I don't have any timescales on it just yet.

I've ordered one in 2mm from Brigade Models, but that's for my 1:3000 ships, so won't help you much here.

There is this one available, but it's a paper model, so may not be what you're looking for. There are a lot of options though.

Reliuctant though I am to encourage the "Wendy Housification" of wargames terrain, Leven Miniatures do a star fort in their Special Projects section

Baggage Train also do a 6mm scale one

Finally there's the Irregular Miniatures 6mm version

Is that all metal?  I'm looking at that thinking 'How much does that cost to ship?!'

Thanks folks!

Yes, tried paper stuff before and was not happy with the results.
Don't particularly like the Irregular one, but Yes Leon it is all metal - priced at £38.40 (UK postage)

I looked on the Leven site how did I miss it?!?! Thanks Ithoriel.

So email to Mick to find out how much it is and then figure out how to make the outer bank.

Wow, it must weigh a fair bit, even in 6mm!

Can't recommend Leven highly enough. My main source for purchased terrain.

I Think I have found a source for the outer works / glacis:
