This hasn't been a hot topic on here for a few years, which is a shame as the Pendraken range looks pretty good. I've been working on publishing my set of rules "It's Getting a bit Chile", which I hope to get out in the next month. There's a load more posts which have a Pacific War label, charting the development to date if you are interested. They are aimed at Divisional level actions with Battalion as the level of resolution, so should be perfect for any of you with 10mm armies. I'm currently using 15mm figures, but the rules are size neutral.

Trebian - I'm waiting for your rules to be published and then Pendraken 10mm will be the way I'll be looking to go for this colourful, interesting little war.
I have zero painting skills though, so once I've bought the figures I'll doubtless be looking round for someone who can do a decent paint job for a reasonable price.

Everyone claims they can't paint. I just block these days and trust to Ronseal Quick Drying Antique Pine varnish to finish them off.
The 10mm figure pictures I've seen look quite nice, so if I was starting now I might be tempted, as the range looks to have everything in it. I don't have a 10mm army as to date I've been an apostle of the 20mm plastic revival, falling back on 15mm if there are none suitable (spoiler, - there are none suitable for this war in any 20mm plastic range at all).
As a taster, if you want to start buying toys now, the rules use battalions made up of 4 stands on 30mm x 15mm, cavalry are on 30mm x 30mm (2 or 4 stands) and artillery/MGs on 30mm x 40mm (1 or 2 to a battery). Mounted Officer figures - of which you need one per Division and one as an Army Commander - are mounted on pennies. You can vary the base sizes if you want, as the rules work on squares. Mine are 3" x 3", but you can make them any size you like, as long as you can get two bases side by side in the square. The best painting guide is the Partizan Press "Uniforms of the Pacific War", which is about £40-£50 BUT WORTH EVERY PENNY. The Osprey will do as a primer on the subject, and you can probably get enough uniforms colours out of it. There's a handy painting guide over on the Outpost Wargames Services site you can download.
I use Divisions of 4-6 battalions a side, and usually field at least 3 Divisions in a game.
