1066 - Not Hastings, a mix of tongue-in-cheek narrative and AAR from the 1066 period with 12mm figures, played out on a large pinboard.

Brilliant
Agreed! Good to see someone having fun and not taking things too seriously.
Enjoyed the fun AAR (not-Hastings :) )
Will be interesting to see which rules test out best.
I have now played through both your Stamford Bridge and Hastings and, as I imaged, they give good games.
Much appreciate the simplicity of the rules which still capture a period feel. (What little I know of it!)
Now have in mind doing the pieces with 6mm figures (but we'll see if this runs its course before I spend money!)
Thanks all. Thanks Bill for looking at the two 1066 games, hope they met expectations.
6mm sounds a good idea in getting closer to the number of units that are in the actual game.
I have gone 12mm and 4" Kallistra hexes, which are too big for my gaming space to be able to replicate the boardgame with them, so whatever I end up with, will be a cut down version.
Great fun, Norm ! :-bd
