Post by: MartinKnight1333 on 26 September 2019, 04:34:13 PM
very interesting book by Christe Bergstrom;

We both bought them and they are revelationary, BUT, if you go YOU TUBE and find  'The World at War' mini series look at episode 19 and General Horrocks interview.

I won't do a spoiler but its a WOW comment.

Two really good books are:

It Never Snows in September by Robert Kershaw. A superb view of the campaign from the German point of view.

Operation Market-Garden by John Buckley & Peter Preston-Hough. A series of papers from a conference held by the department of military studies at the University of Wolverhampton. It shows clearly why the operation had virtually no chance of success as planned, but you can get an idea of how it might have worked, which is ideal for us gamers.
