Title: Descendants to honour Scots taken prisoner at Dunbar.

I just completed a 17th century (Royalist ECW) unit tonight, turned on the computer and came across this.

Thanks for posting that Westie...very timely given we are playing a game based on Cromwells advance on Edinburgh  in July 1650 this weekend.

There is a fairly recent episode of a US series of "Who do you think you are" that traces the ancestor of the person (sorry his name escapes me) from Dunbar to Durham to the new world as an indentured servant.

From what l have seen anyone being taken prisoner during the C17 could expect pretty harsh treatment from their captors no matter who they might be.
