Title: The Egyptians at Campaign 2019 on Madaxeman
Post by: madaxeman on 05 June 2019, 06:28:54 PM
The Campaign team event has become a bit of a regular feature on the ADLG circuit, and this year I ended up driving a newly-rebased and refurbished New Kingdom Egyptian army (https://www.madaxeman.com/reports/Campaign_2019_1.php) in a tightly themed competition against 6 other extremely similar armies.

The Egyptians fought Bedouin Camels!

They fought an artistically licensed army of Egyptian Undead !

And, most of all, they fought Egyptian Civil Wars

These 6 match reports (https://www.madaxeman.com/reports/Campaign_2019_1.php) chronicle the complete biblically epic weekend for the NKE, in a widescreen spectacular that only the presence of Charlton Heston could possibly improve!

Nice reports Tim, what are the odds of everyone taking NKE!

Very cool. I have both a Libyan Egyptian and a dead Egyptian army so ought to finish them and play them against each other. Great idea - thanks!

Its always tricky for the organisers of Campaign to conjure up very small pools of armies where all are both a bit different and equally viable as well. My guess with what happened in this pool is that whilst the armies were pretty well balanced, the simple fact is more people own NKE than pretty much anything else on the list, and with there not having been that many events where they have been a viable army to take in, well, many years (NKE in FoG anyone??!! :'() everyone just grabbed the chance to get the stripey hat guys on table.

And let's face it, I managed to deploy two compelete armies out of my old DBM force so I was even more guilty than anyone I played!
