Hey,
What do people use to make printed out labels or counters at a specific size? I'm looking at gimp (the image editing application...I know what you're all like!), which lets me define sizes in mm but wanted to see if anyone had an easier approach?
I want to be able to do symbols and images too.
Mail merge labels is another option but would prove faffy and a bit too limited to do what I want.
I just use publisher...
I print and adjust % image before finishing. Very good for sizing flags.

Don't have a copy but may give a free alternative a go and see how it does.

Do you not find that ends up wasting a lot of ink and paper to get it right?
https://www.scribus.net seems like it might do the job. Thanks Lemmy, hadn't thought of desktop publishing software for it.
For labels I use Open Office's spreadsheet, for flags I use GIMP.
With the spreadsheet I set the cell to the appropriate size, type text, flood the background with colour where required and insert images. The latter often created or manipulated in GIMP.
