Title: BBC 4 On Hannibal’s Trail
Post by: mollinary on 05 March 2019, 07:46:44 PM
Anyone else watching this? Next best thing to battlefield walking. Probably also avaialable on bbc iplayer. Currently discussing Lake Trasimene, not a phrase that has been used very often with regard to British tv!

Love that show.
My dear friend Simon Elliot is on Channel 5's 2000 Years of London at 9.15, I will have to record it as the Mrs and the Eldest will be watching the sewing bee!  :o

I've thoroughly enjoyed it !!

Seeing as I know next to bog all about virtually every period in history, I've found it fascinating.*

Last 'episode' tomorrow...I'll miss it when it finished. :(

Cheers - Phil

* I used to think I was fairly knowledgeable about WWII...and could probably scrape a low 'pass' in a test.
Having read all the stuff various members of the forum have written on here.....In a test I now reckon I'd get around the 5% mark.....If I was lucky !!
