A Wikipedia entry on the Florentine Codex: "one of the most remarkable accounts of a non-Western culture ever composed."
Call me geographically challenged, but I must say that from the perspective of an Iberian, Mexico must be about as Western as it gets.
I suspect that in this case "western" means European, in the same way as English means British.

But not if you consider it the Indies. - Pesky spherical geometry!!
Whichever way it goes, a few action shots from down Mexico way (or is it up Mexico way now?) today. I was the Aztecs, and Lee commanding the Spaniards, with whom she clobbered me for the third time running. I've created a monster, gentlemen!

Eek
Where is Mexico?
To quote Porfirio Díaz "Poor Mexico, so far from God and so close to the United States!"
Go toward the setting sun until people start speaking Spanish, then turn left.

Relative to my location, the center of the universe
Depends where you start ;)
In my case they'll be speaking Australian and then it will get very cold...
