The height of the pirate era as I understand it was the late 1600's so I would go with Marlboroughian or Great Northern War figures for the  military, and I see Leon just released some new pirates, and natives from the colonial period should work.

I have figures for a pirate HOTT army that might get pained some day!!!!

Good luck with your venture,

Terry

It looks like much of the GNW range has no images.

Note Irregular Miniatures have some 10mm buccaneers too. They're overpriced and lower quality than what you can get here, but sometimes you take what you can get.

Oh wow the LOA range looks like a perfect match for blood n plunder's range. Anyone have photos of the stuff not photographed?

I'm really tempted to get some British AWI as they are the perineal Hollywood stuffy army jerks.

Thank you!

I'm wondering if I should put in a order for what is available right now or if I should wait for the pirates.

Well I went ahead and put in the order for the natives and the army guys.

For my Natives I wanted a mostly North American force. The game focuses on Caribbean natives but I wanted feathered braves.

I drafted from the French Indian war line for canoe and fire arm wielding natives
The Great Plains war gave me a range of foot weapons and poses
The ancient Indian range provided some crucial bowmen

Loa range has me covered for hat wearing military jerks. the wide range of poses makes it perfect for skirmish games

So now I just wait for the pirates.
