:'(
Your mistake was expecting wargame discussion on that site.
Inquisitive minds want to know whether you got dawghoused for that last comment.
Them good ole boys hate being interrupted.
I scrolled down for ages. It seems to be a discussion about rating generals inn wargames, so not sure what point you are trying to make. :-/
Confused also, most of replies seem on topic and positive (though I don't go on tmp) :-/
Which of you is TMPWargameRabbit?
I don't go on TMP so it ain't me. Still confused.

I asked where I could get a list of ratings for wargames.
I got a discussion on
1) Why it is wrong to rate generals
2) Systems to do it!
Yanks are in bed at the moment, expecting some blowback re the 'interview'. RTFQ!
See what you mean. At least Patrick came good.

Which is pretty much what would have happened on this, or probably any other, forum on the interweb.
In fact the Pendraken responses would have gone much more wildly off-topic and someone would have been called an oik by now.
Last Hussar, I thought it was going quite well until your comment!
and it doesn't help this forum bringing TMP woes here.
sorry to be blunt.
Iain Dickie and Gareth Harding wrote rules called Colours & Guns for 10mm napoleonic, published by Magister Militum.
it has army lists together with listings of character generals, examples;
Bagration, reckless in attack - command rating 9 - attribute,+1 to all his colonels attempting to charge. He cannot have an ADC if Bennigsen is C & C.
Tolstoy, good infantry commander - command rating 8 - attribute, +1 In command of infantry.
I am TMPWarGameRabbit*
*at least until such a declaration gets one nailed to a cross.
;D
Anyhoo, "can I see how this went wrong?"
Yes. :D
I am TMPWarGameRabbit !
Yes I can, but why do you bother with TMP?
I don't really understand why you seem so irritated. No one was unpleasant, or rude, they just posted what they felt about the topic you raised. Should other posters be constrained only to post exactly what you require? Isn't that a bit egotistical? I have seen far, far worse threads on TMP!
LH, I'm guessing you were already sensitized by the 130+ responses to your earlier question on TMP?

Has the learned discussion helped you?
Chris
That was in line with the question, though as per normal it got very specific.
Its as though I had posted here asking which is the best Pendraken range to sub in for [unavailable uniform] and half the answers decried 10mm, while the other half were suggesting a different size form a different manufacturer. >:(

I thought that was what TMP was for...
No, TMP is for Total Manic Prats.
Not "Tango's Mindless Prattle"?
This thread is already in the 'prefect's' room' and will get deleted if this gets any more 'sniffy'.

Probably the best place for it. It's not really the best form to talk about other forums, particularly on a manufacturer's one.
LH you do have form for poking TMP and then expressing your surprise at the results.
Sounds good to me, Forbes.
Lock time.
