We all know about the great service, excellent range, high quality, opportunities to rag Techno and organisational friendliness of Pendraken, but I was thinking about the other things that endear Pendraken to my heart.
I thought I should list some of the other reasons to love our favourite 10mm specialist:
- Despite having the power to turn the world inside out on a whim, the Dark Lord doesn't seem to mind being called the Dark Lord
- I placed 3 orders over Xmas. They arrived as one package ... and P&P was refunded.
- The smell of a freshly opened package of MDF bases
I'm sure there are others ... but for now I have a parcel to sniff.
Most appreciated aspects are excellent quality figures, fast delivery and
willingness to be flexible in breaking up standard packs to meet strange
requests....
The delivery speed is simply amazing these days.
Phil
I admire a business that has stuck to its vision and grown consistently over such a long period.
Couple this with the excellent product, fine service, and the great company here and you are onto a winner.
When I wander over to the Pendraken stand at a show and am greeted by name. That happens nowhere else. :)
Friendly and flexible, with a superb range of figures. Putting the customer first makes a big difference for me. I love the forum as well. In short happy I went down the Pendraken route a good few years ago :).
It's all good. 8)
I think what they did with regards to recovering Blitzkrieg Commander pretty much sums up a genuine ethos of customer service and care.
Yes, I really hope BKC IV takes off. In 53 years I have only played five WWII games (and one of those was the Battle of Britain) but Pendraken deserve to do well form BKC after all the effort to make it right.
Yep, I will be buying a copy more as a gesture of support.
Pendraken are also big supporters of the wargame show circuit. I know that is not always a profitable way to spend a weekend, but the support of the show circuit is an important part of the fabric of the wargaming community and from my earliest days of attending, they have been a feature of the show. Maybe I should try and dig out a photo of Dave when he looked 12 :-)

I bet he will still eating Pie and chips or holding a coffee :)
Yes its the quality of the service, and I do like the smell of the laser cut MDF. Mrs Orcs hates it, not that I have ever opened an order of MDF bases in her study. ;)
All of the above :)
They be basically nice peeps !

I always try and refund people when they've placed several orders but I'm sure I miss some along the way! Dark Lord is fine with me, I never had a nickname before (although I've been called a few things I'm sure...)

It's nice to see this happening now, it was one of my priorities when I first took over the day-to-day running nearly 10 years ago. It evaded us for a long time with the size of the catalogue and not enough staff but we're there now.

Seconded, I know of other companies who never address the issues with badly written and unuseable rule sets.
Regards,
Martin
For me its the following
1/ Friendliness
2/ Excellent figures
3/ Flexibility and willingness to help
4/ How you handled Blitzkrieg Commander
5/ The fast delivery now
Take care
Andy
The way I get the p*** taken out of me, on a regular basis ! :P ;D ;D ;D ;D

For me, it's the contents of my box labeled "Mexicans". Inter multa alia, of course.
I love the smell of MDF in the morning. Its the smell of losing to Sunjester.
