Title: Heretical question from 10mm near newbie

Am a refugee from larger scales, and really like the Napoleonic ranges, especially the 1809 and recent sculpts. But what is the story with the cylindrical drums?  Cotton conversions?  Ignoring the problem and learn to love the bald smooth thing? A bit amazed that the sculpts are so good and the drums not quite so good...

It has been asked before.
Hand painted or laborious cotton conversion was the answer...

I'd not noticed that before as I don't have any 10mm Napoleonics :-\

It does seem rather strange as other ranges seem to have 'drum cords' certainly the AWI & ECW ranges do...

Thanks for that - what would be really strange is if the other ranges with drum cords were sculpted by the same person...
