I didn't get many gaming related pressies this year, well zip actually....did get some good CD's/DVD's though 8).....and a curry cookbook :o
I got Mrs Shy diamonds that she wanted >:< so 2019 should be productive 10mm figure wise....maybe ;)
It's not happened yet.

Maybe I've been extra good this year so he came to NZ first O:-)
Up here in Finland (where Santa lives) we get our prezzies on the 24th.
This year the missus gave me stuff that will keep my spirits up during upcoming painting sessions - namely a nice bottle of single malt from Jura.
Cheers,
Aksu
Got mine in advance a week ago!

Hasn't arrived yet, but a load of 6mm punic war stuff from baccus, and a load of bases from minibits.
Still waiting for Christmas Eve to elapse ... but a wee bird tells me I'm going to get "For King & Parliament."
Leon knows more than I do.
As I always I sort out my pressies, then give them to SWMBO to wrap. That we I get stuff I like, which saves a lot of grief :). So this year some books on the French Revolutionary Wars and the Battle of Killiekrankie.
Not many pressies for me this year, tend not to do them in our house
My son gave me a copy of "Forever Young" about Astronaut John Young :)

Good man! Better missus!
Well i had Christmas early with my Girls. Got some varnish and some smoke markers.
Mrs Orcs Got me an Xbox between Birthday and Christmas so I am hoping for some war related games. Not had our pressies yet as I am at work.
I might by myself a few bits if the bank account will stand it in the New Year
Some new soldiers to make. :D
(Stroll on, I thought we were going to end up in A&E last night.......I was fast asleep, and the MIL's alarm started going off. She'd sort of collapsed, half in and half out of bed...and couldn't get herself back into bed. We managed to get her back into bed properly.....But trying to go to sleep when you're expecting the alarm to go off again, at any time, is quite difficult ! X_X.....She seems to be OK, this morning, as I can hear her TV on.....The sad thing is, she won't remember that happened last night.)
Cheers - Mr Relieved !!
Daughter and son-in-law bought me a 6mm Wurttemberg Division for the 1809 campaign, and I bought myself Duffy's By Force of Arms.
Pendraken North Korean Army pack.
Warlord Games Vospers MBT/MTB flotilla
And I might have bought the family 'King of Tokyo' !

Must do that next time. Somehow Mrs Westie got me "To The Strongest" and not "For King & Parliament." Not that interested in Ancient & Medieval wargaming and both periods are the least likely for me to collect minis. :'(
Well, you might be able to drop Simon a line and exchange it, as he's a pretty decent chap...
Will do. BigRedBat at fault. Mrs Westie has their e-mail confirming "For King & Parliament" was ordered. :(
Osprey Campaigns - Tewkesbury 1471, I fancy a WoR dabble and this book had some nice narrative on how the armies formed.
Tanks (The Tank Museum) - plenty of pictures that are not overly familiar to me, covers WW1 to present day, some nice bits like training diagrams, postcards etc also included. Good browsing material.
A book voucher that will be re-invested into something militaristic.
This year, the wargame stuff plays second fiddle to vinyl, which I think the kids see as a 'proper' present!
300 pikemen.
ECW not Sparta.
I had visions of the Swiss then, but a big Toblerone also makes a great Christmas present.
I received books books and more books, but also
Warlord:
RN MTB expansion set
Crusader I/II
Pz III
Pz IV
Char B
So what's that all about then?
But best of all... wifey found me the military history trivial pursuit card set.
The trivial pursuit card set sounds fun :)

And I might have bought the family 'King of Tokyo' !
the family ;) ;D
They can't wait to play it! ;)
King of Tokyo is a great game.
Nothing directly wargamey this Christmas (mainly as I didn't ask for it), but did get some board games
Century Eastern Wonders (the follow up to Century spice road) very nicely produced game, have finally understood it this morning, after two goes at reading the rules yesterday... Hopefully all the family will like this as Spice Road has been very popular
And two expansions for Terraforming Mars, the Prelude cards, and a double-sided alternative board/map. Oldest daughter likes TM but yet to get other players within the family, as the complexity level is quite high.
I ordered £30 of figures, sent to my parents.
My mum wanted a mail order CD, which my dad sent to me.
My brother saw a desk diary he wanted 1/2 price before Christmas.
Settling up, my dad owed me 15, which he gave to my brother as I owed him for diary.
I effectively bought my own present.
