Title: Battle of the River Plate
Post by: Norm on 26 November 2018, 07:33:26 PM
Battle of the River Plate is one of a pairing (the other is Bismarck) of games from the Dreadnoughts and Battlewagons Folio Series by Decision games.

I have blogged an article that looks at a replay and highlights some of the mechanics.

It is a boardgame, but easy to convert hexes to inches.

Thanks for posting Norm. I've dabbled with both of these actions in the past but sold the models on having failed to find a simp,e enough system for a quick game. Tempted to get back into it all now.

An interesting read Norm, thanks, as a Kiwi its always good to see the Achilles in action

Dr Dave, I would suggest General Quarters I/II as a very accessible fast play set of rules. they are much faster play than the new GQIII
I believe Navwar still stock the rules
