So usually i take one group picture with all my purchases, but this year they just don't fit!! Went a little overboard, but hey, you only live once right? (anxiously looking around for reassuring words of confirmation :-SS :-SS )
the (mostly) planned stuff:
studio miniatures german zombies (and a "not A-team" i couldn't resist), black scorpion undead pirates and an order of perry minis + a bllister of voltiguers from warlord. Yes the exact same blister as last year, but i love the sculpts. i got last year's blister mounted on multibases, this time they will be mounted in singles for skirmish.

(http://i.imgur.com/wy7RoFT.jpg) (https://imgur.com/wy7RoFT)

So far so good, now for the unplanned stuff ;D
2€ in the bring and buy! can take 28mm scale.
(http://i.imgur.com/usb599U.jpg) (https://imgur.com/usb599U)
a load of resin scenery, labeled "the square". never heard of them, got these at plastic soldier company i think. price was right. There is a bag of 3 10mm houses in there, tha ziggurat thing, a big ruin, barricades and broken columns (i will turn the ziggurat and colums into a temple scenery piece)
(http://i.imgur.com/yj0p1FV.jpg) (https://imgur.com/yj0p1FV)
a big rocky piece from the same stand
(http://i.imgur.com/A67SMHF.jpg) (https://imgur.com/A67SMHF)
And then i passed "emperor toads emporium" stand, and went bananas! Only 75€ for this lot! Could have taken more, but my budget was straining!
(http://i.imgur.com/tiDbOLX.jpg) (https://imgur.com/tiDbOLX)
small scale scenery 6/10mm (if anyone knows where the houses are from, do shout, no idea of manufacturers)

Only thing i'm regretting is not buying the walking dead's collectors edition for 80 €. Had it in my hands, and my wife said buy it. I put it back and said i'd think about it. Ah well, there's always christmass!
Great haul indeed! Ah, could your wife go with me to our convention next year?????

I think she can only handle one shopping spree per year ;D
Good grief !! :o
That IS a haul.

Crisis was worth it for me too, although I mostly got books (some pretty rare stuff at very reasonable prices) and paints.
The only 10mm stuff I found that is useful for my current project (late 19th Century Raj), came from MM. Still, a very nice day at an event that could have done with a Pendraken stand, although I do understand that there is probably no profit in it. Mind you, that didn't stop minority interests like 6mm Baccus and Adler from coming...
Wow Peter, you grabbed some lovely looking terrain pieces there.
Looks like a great day!
Did you have any trouble at customs with your lorry?

Yes, i had to stop myself from putting more in the box. The most expensive one was 10€.
I paid more per piece for the unbuilt sarissa ones!
Really great stuff.

The small scales were underrepresented once more. The plus side is that most do away with 10mm scenery quite cheap. What was a surprise to me is the amount of 1/72 stuff on sale. Is it making a comeback?
One of the benefits of the EU - no bloody customs at the land borders - see the current cock-up (b*****cks we never thought of that!) re. the Irish Republic/Northern Ireland border. As previously stated, be careful what you wish for.
No difference anyway for me. I don't cross a border when driving to crisis.
I live in the Southern part of the Netherlands so Antwerp is not that bad to travel to. Then again; the fact that there is so little available in the small scales keeps me from visiting Crisis; it's just not worth it to me (I admit; the temptation and total lack of backbone once in is also part of it...). Better save my money and order some more 10mm Pendraken stuff through the internet!
Cheers,
Rob

Interesting observation Peter. I wonder if its the 28mm that is stimulating the 1/72 stuff - nearest cheapest plastic scale - just was we use 1/144 for plastic aircraft?
20mm is coming home. 15mm is dead ... it just doesn't know it yet.

Can't tell. They are easier to paint now we have acrylics though! Not a lot of chipping as opposed to oil paints.
