We've had Techno quietly working on these figures over the summer, firstly as a replacement for our Dacian range and secondly as an expansion with some Sarmatians as well! This lot won't be getting moulded in the near future but we're hoping to have them ready before the end of the year.
We've got a few odds and end for Phil to work through next, a lot of it helping to get the TB Line ranges up and running, but once that's done we'll be continuing with some Ancients revamps as we move on to the Greeks and Persians.
We'd like to thank mad lemmey for all of his help putting this range together!

Nice!
Will this include Macedonian and successors?
Oh my these are friggin amazing!
What are you doing to me. :o :o
First tanks.
Then FPW - which I can't even post about, before more new stuff appears right in front of me.
I have too many unpainted armies already.
I suppose another one won't hurt...
Can see these being very useful as fantasy figures too.
Those are brilliant!!!

We're hoping so. Lemmey is helping us work up a longer-term plan for our Ancients ranges, ticking off the remaining revamps to the Greeks, Persians and Indians, whilst fitting in some new additions along the way.
:D
Need I say more?

Great!
Maybe they will be ready by the time i finish my punic armies! That should give you guys enough time ;D
As a matter of fact, i was torn between the Greeks , the punic wars and hastings, with the punic wars winning out in the end because of the newer range. Happy i waited to go with the Greeks!
MMmmmm, nifty (the word is not too strong).
Very nice!
Thank you, Gents.....and thanks to Will for all his help, and Nobby for sourcing me lots of piccies ! :-bd
Cheers - Phil

I blloomin' love these. Well done Techno!
The dragon standards are suitably intimidating, but my favourite is the horse archer with the bow above his head - either in command or exultation.
Hopefully some Sassanian Cataphacts as well !!!
Congrats Phil, that is an excellent looking range. :-bd
Thanks once again, Chaps......
Though you can't tell it from the pics.....I did one of the archers as a female.....Inspired by one of the pics that Nobby e'maled me.
Cheers - Phil
Is it the horse archer on the extreme left? Is her name Mandy Corbyn?
Increases the female figure count in ancients too...
Just had another look. I am very, very impressed with those horse archers.
Stuff the lions and the MkIV, get me Featherstone's "Ancient Battle of Trimsos"!

Well....There's Kiera.....And didn't I do some females in the Mongol's range. (Or maybe they don't quite count as ancients. :-\)
Andy....Who is Mandy Corbyn ?......I'm afraid that one's gone right over my head. :-[
Cheers - Phil :)

There's a Maiden Guard in AI8 Ancient Indian General and entourage (top left), so that's at least a doubling!

Maybe she's related to Jeremy, what with her being on the extreme left of the light cavalry... :-

I am surprised the ones Nobby sent you did not have exposed chests - then thy would have been easy to spot.
GGGRRRRR They are lovely , this makes me want to replace them all .. I already have large Dacian army - but I might have to add a unit or two
Large can become even larger then! :)

Told you it had gone right over my head.
When I Googled pictures of Mandy Corbyn....I saw a number of photo's of J Corbyn Esq and Peter Mandleson.....And still the penny didn't drop. (
EXTREME left, Phil....read things properly !)
(Not as bad as a misread/mixed News headline I did a double take on, last night.)
Mark.....You know you want some more shinys, really ! ;)
Cheers - Phil
These look really good and will also be useful in other ranges
Take care
Andy
Thanks Andy. :)
Cheers - Phil
Can you have unarmoured cataphracts ? Thats just light cavalry. ;)
I thought it was troops in cataphract armour on unarmoured horses. Surely heavy cavalry or medium at the very lightest. A bit like French 'archers' in the early C16th - gendarmes in all but barding.
Those are gorgeous and will be a must-buy for me.
I love the cavalry poses and am very appreciative of the thoughtful poses for the spearmen.
Thanks, Theo.
Cheers - Phil
Any news on a release date for these, planning ahead for March... :!! 8->

No timescales at the moment I'm afraid, probably end of the year or early 2019 I'd think.
Nudge, nudge..
Any news?
Nothing yet, too many jobs on the go at the moment. BKC-IV and the Kickstarter are first priority, then the Not-Kickstarter, then either Indian Mutiny or Ancients.

They're scheduled in after the Indian Mutiny release, which I'm working on at the moment. We're going to release the Dacians/Sarmatians/Greeks/Persians in one go I think, to maximise impact! Techno should have the Persians all complete in the next month I think, he's just putting the finishing touches to them now.
Does the caption on one of those sculpts really say "Cataphracts, unarmoured"? Isn't that rather like saying "Clothed people, naked"?
:- :o
Lancers, unarmoured, basically

Just got the chariot to complete, and then they can all go up to Pendraken Towers....I'd better remember to do a crib sheet, too.
Should have that finished in the next couple of days. (Fingers crossed)
Though, of course 'finishing it' means that I've got to check that it fits together properly.....That's when the bad language usually starts. X_X

And Japanese goodies? I might consider a multiple order for my birthday present in September (alas, Buddhists don't give atheists Christmas presents).

I bought an album by them (tho' it was spelled correctly).
The LP (one of the first picture discs) was simply, frigging
AWFUL.....(I as a sucker for adverts in Melody Maker, New Musical Express & Sounds.....In those days.).....And I'd heard one track...Which wasn't THAT bad....On the radio.

Should be ready by then, they're still with the sculptor but July is the last scheduled month for sculpting those. We've got the Indian Mutiny next, Ancients after that, then the new Japanese range.
Tidings of comfort and joy. :)
These chaps are very eager to get moulded, cast, painted, and used....
So are the Persians that go with them, they are just wait I g on reinforcements... ;)
