This will become the home of my Colonial Sudan Wargaming page.
Started to make a few of my own Paddle Steamers and purchased a couple of the Pendraken ones.

Wow!
Very nice.
Pretty much all I can say is wow love your gunboats
Take care
Andy
Nice project, I have a box of unpainted Pendraken Sudan figures in my lead pile....what are the base sizes you are using?
Thanks
Very cool. My colonial forces are progressing very slowly too many other projects / games on the go. I can dream of forces like these.
I'm interested to know what rules you are going for with the big bases for the natives?

Dont smoke round it !
When I was about 10.....I tried making some 'black powder'....(With components from my chemistry set)...Crammed it all into a matchbox......Taped all around it with selotape, so it was nice and REALLY tight....Bored a hole in one end, and put a fuse in it.
Lit fuse...and was most disappointed when it just produced a load of 'steam' (for quite a while) instead of exploding.
I'd forgotten about that.....I started trying to injure myself at an early age, didn't I ?
That's reminded me of another daft thing I did in my later teens with some 'crow scarers'.....They did go BANG, big (sic)......But I wasn't the one that was close to it when it went 'boom'.
Cheers - Anne Idiot.
We used to scrape the powder from cap gun cartridges, make it into a pile and then surround with Airfix figures, then light it! It made a hell of a smell as it burnt the figures, which makes me shudder these days, but I suppose we had grown out of them at that point.
