That's a great report. I'm really interested in Rommel for my North Africa collection to play at a different level.
How did you grid the table up into squares. I can't see anything on the table?
My guess is the round MDF chits mark the corners of the grid
For FK&P I'm using small stones and will only put them every 30cm for a 15cm grid, dividing a 30cm square into four 15cm squares is easy to do by eye and makes the grid even less intrusive

I'm guessing that terrain features simply fit into the zones? It seems as though very few if any games have hills in them?
Yup we used 20mm MDF bases. The terrain fits into the whole square. I.e each square is a terrain zone.
