Title: Fake News - 1/72 for Kursk ... perhaps!

Just a bit of fun. For those who do not follow the blog, I am for ever torn between scales, de-cluttering, streamlining etc.

Agreed, nice models.

You know, you could go slightly smaller and use the Zvezda 1/100 models. Lots for Kursk - Ferdinand, Tiger, Pz IV and III, t34 and other Soviets. All for about £3.50 per tank.

Cheers, Martyn

Thanks Martyn, I have had some (read lots!) of the 1/100 kits and thought the Ferdinand was a particularly nice model and for practical reasons (table size and storage) it probably would be the better choice, but I have settled on a small 1/72 project because I like the size relationship between the infantry and the vehicles better than in the 15mm scale. It may well be the 'Airfix Generation' thing that pulls me! plus the fact, I have some resin HO/OO buildings that are too nice not to use.
