This is part of my overall project to fight the campaigns that François Bazaine was involved in
So far I've done 1st Carlist War, 2nd Italian War of Independence, French Intervention in Mexico and the Franco-Prussian War
This is the Algerian part which is almost complete
All of the French figures are Pendraken miniatures and virtually all of them have been painted by Nathan (toxicpixie). They are based for Bloody Big Battles

Excellent, Bazaine as a sergeant!

Terry
Very nice, indeed !
Cheers - Phil
I really like the tall red kepi on those troops, and the fact that some of them have ditched the pantalons rouge for something a little cooler.
Luscious! Can you show us the locals next?
Chris
Here's a bad photo of the Algerian cavalry - they are 10mm Little Wars Miniatures Tuaregs - although I reckon they are more like 11/12mm
I will take some better pictures and post them

Looking forward to the better pictures :)
I've posted some (hopefully) better pictures of my Algerian cavalry to my blog page
Next up Algerian infantry, tents, camels and civilians

@Leon - as thy are not Pendraken figures you might want to move this thread over to non-Pendraken

Here are the latest additions to my Algerian forces - Pendraken WW1 Irregular Arab cavalry (ME25) - I reckon I must have proxied this project to death

Excellent. :):):):)
Fantastic stuff. There is a lot to be said for proxying. KT did an excellent job of listing his proxies for the Balkan Wars, so maybe we should try and do the same when we build armies not officially available in the Pendraken catalogue. Perhaps a thread dedicated to proxies would be useful.
They look brilliant
Take care
Andy
Excellent!
Those are amazing. Lovely paint job and I love the basing.
