Title: Haynes Manuals at The Works
Post by: fsn on 30 June 2018, 10:20:33 AM
Good morning, Britain.

This morning I was in Widnes. Please, spare me your pity.

Widnes now has a branch of the "bookshop" The Works, and the Works attracts me like a magnet draws iron filings.

In the Widnes branch there are Haynes Manuals for the T34 and the Mosquito for just £6.

I have one on a certain tank  :-[ ... and at £6 they're great value.

The also have the Millenium Falcon.  =)

I think those are quite good. My daughter bought me the one on the British Tommy 1914-18 and it has proved extremely useful in my BEF project.

Thanks for the 'heads up' and I'll check my local one out in the next day or so :).

Apparently - and I genuinely don't remember doing it - I bought the Mosquito one.    :)

It's rather good.

I bought the 'Titanic' manual recently for father's Day...
Really impressed.

One careless owner...

Are they all still described as being based on "a complete strip-down and rebuild"?

Lots of technical bits. The Mosquito one has a section on how the plane was built.
