i'm back :) not doing to badly having to be careful not to get any infections :( ARD's are a nightmare all 25 off them having to take them forever side effects not recommended, hopefully be at Claymore if I get the ok :)
Hang in there kid
Good for you, Smokie !! :-bd
Hope the side effects diminish, in time....Bloody heck...What you've been through, I can only imagine.
Take care, Matey !......and keep away from any 'bugs'.
Very best wishes - Phil
Forgive me.
ARDs?
What are they?
I am awaiting another CT scan to tell me if I have cancer anywhere else.
Great news
Very good news, Smokie! Hope that you'll continue to soldier through and get back to enjoying life.
You as well, Jim. Hope that you get good news from your scans.
Well according to interweb ARD can be a number of things:
Arbeitsgemeinschaft der Öffentlichrechtlichen Rundfunk anstalten der Bundesrepublik Deutschland - ... err ...of course.
Auxiliary Repair Dock - we've all been there
Automatic Ring Down - quickie divorce?
Acid Rock Drainage - perhaps Techno could enlighten us?
Addiction Recovery of the Deaf -
Appliance For Ringo Detonation - I have no idea what that is, but I think it's a John lennon invention
Alcohol Related Dementia - perhaps in other forum members?
but I think it's
Acute Respiratory Distress - which sounds flippin' awful.
Glad to hear you're on the mend.
Acute Radiation Dermatitis, but no picnic either.
Good to hear you're back on your feet and making progress. We'll hopefully see you at Claymore!

After what you've gone through, also means you're
'ard! :D Good to hear from you (was beginning to fear the worst). All the best.
Wot they said :)
Except FSN, of course ;)
All the best Smokie & Jim
Look after yourself smokie.
The regular temporary blindness and collapse episodes I was having seem to have faded over the past couple of weeks to occasional bouts of disorientation and nausea so I have every hope of getting to Claymore myself.
Hope to see you, Jim and others there.
I hope the improvement continues Ithoriel

Gosh Mike, that sounds dramatic.
My most noticeable symptom is just extreme tiredness. All I do is fall asleep which doesn't half pass the time quickly.
Blimey Mike, that does sound dramatic. Hope all getting better for you.

Get well soon, ......Mike and best of luck with your scan, Jim !
Cheers - Phil
Crikey, that's all a bit dramatic and scary! Hope you all three get sorted and/or side effects roll down in intensity :S
Had my cosy chat with a nice doctor from Oncology.
She confirmed that my surgery was successful in removing one of my kidneys and preventing the cancer from spreading to my other kidney via my bladder and prostate.
However, I now have two spots on my lungs which weren't there last year as well a spot on my hip bone which hadn't been scanned before.
I get another scan next month to look for changes.
If treatment is required it would likely be chemotherapy by tablets. That will be no fun at all.
Hope the other guys get an easier ride.
Lacks, fingers crossed sir
Ack! Not good, Jim. Sorry to hear that.
Lady I've known since Uni days has recently had intravenous chemo, a mastectomy and is now on oral chemo which she reckons is much less savage than the intravenous version was.
Look after yourself.
Well arse, that's not exactly unqualified good news :/
Sorry to hear that Jim.
That news started well...
... fingers crossed for the ext scan
Fingers crossed....and very best wishes, Jim !
Cheers - Phil
