For my next role play foray we are off to the firefly universe (oooh the boat hust went up an down and side to side at the same time) anyway I reckon the alliance are covered in the sci fi bits, but I will be needing some good guys (outside of the male/female civillians and the colonists does Pendraken do cowboys? I coulnt find any but the blackberry on a boat at sea isn't the most coducive to searching
Cheers

Yep, or maybe the odd figure in the ACW command pack.
I've been considering Firefly for some time so i'm really interested to see what you make of this Maenoferren. Are you planning to post up pictures/background/army lists etc.?
I was looking at the ACW range for the Brownshirts, given the 'wild west' theme of the show.
Hi Luddite,
I will be posting pics etc, army lists might be a bit tricky as I Will be using the figures for my role play rather than refighting Serenity Valley. However what I comne up with I will share.
Was having a think about this,
In the film and tv series there is no real information on troop types and organisation. In fact they use both naval and military terms for officers which might imply that they have a navy and army as opposed to marines like some sci fi settings.
I was having a think whilst mucking out the horses and came to this idea for an alliance platoon
Platoon
Lieutenant
Platoon Sergeant Corporal
2 x Squad leader
four 5 man squads (with comms)
company 3 platoons led by Captain and first sergeant with command squad.
Sniper,
long range Comms',
Medic
Comprehensive timeline here.

Cheers Luddite, Intersting reading thanks.
the independents held Serenity valley with sixteen brigades and twenty air-tank squads. Makes one wonder what an air tank is?
Of course the good thing in wargaming this is you use WWII anti aircraft guns :D
HAs anyone got any photos of the different sci fi ranges please :)
