And a more conventional one for the Renaissance players (bonus points for the general)

But they aren't Norse gods!
They're for godlike playin* genius!
Plus, on the very first ones, I made a spelling mistake. It stuck.
Cracking :)

Very good and congrats to Mrs Lemmey on her painting skills.
They do look good

Very clever. Unfortunately the concept of the wooden spoon is not something I think is acknowledged over here (the US). But were it so, I could see doing one for the local Leg of the GBnUIT and I might just do it anyway, as it looks like it would be fun to paint up a spoon with each year's theme painted on it.

I just noticed the title. Is it a Dark Ages comp, with lots of Angles and Saxons screaming for their chief god :D
Is the Renaissance bloke Wallenstein, or is it Tilly? Having a guess without looking it up.

Nope and... no!
I thought it was Gustavus Adolphus ... but I may be wrong.
I know he was a bit ginge.
Initially I had assumed it was King Charles 1st but then thought of Gustavus too, so googled him and found ...

Good likeness Will!
Agreed. It's very well done and captures all of the essential elements to let you know who it is supposed to be. =D>
Well spotted gents, And thanks the praise.
Unless, of course, you don't know what Gustav Adolf looked like in the first place.

Armed with long thrusting spoons, no doubt?
C'mon chaps get real.
Just paint faces on the spoons and then dress them in paper uniforms. They can be anything you want then!
And they would use fork weapons - not spoons. Officers would have sword-knives.
I dunno. Some people just don't get it!
Help.
FSN is making sense.
