Title: Figures for WWI Russian dismounted cavalry?
Post by: kustenjaeger on 15 April 2018, 05:56:43 PM
Greetings

What would people suggest using for WWI Russian dismounted cavalry?

I may end up needing 48 stands of cavalry for GWSH scenarios and had wondered about having half mounted and half dismounted (in order to be able to use them for other levels of game).

Regards

Edward

Hello kustenjaeger

Probably the easiest would be to use the Russian infantry possibly using RP8 Infantry, kneeling/prone to hide their blanket rolls a bit and snip the bayonets off.

Otherwise you could ask nicely if the old WW1 Russian infantry are available:-

Greetings

Thanks for the ideas.  I've got a few spare kneeling/prone figures so I'll experiment - maybe think about a stand per regiment with a standing horse as well.
