Title: Cry Me A River: GNW Interlude
Post by: jaztez on 11 April 2018, 03:38:37 PM
Took a break from painting GNW figures to make a "realistic" river:

Looking great. A few tufts on the margins to look like reeds, and that will be perfect.

They work well, I do like how you were able to avoid painting most of the surface by using black plastic as a starting point.

I sort of agree with adding the tufts, but they will make storage harder.

I've just read through the entire blog - inspirational stuff with some very useful ideas.   Well done !   I really liked the basing and river building techniques - thanks for these.   I also appreciated the full army shot.

I wasn't sure about using the painting service but the results are surprisingly good, especially when the dark tone is added.

you tried fernando out?  Cool.  Hope to see some shots soon!

Yeah the marsh sections have tufts on them, but they are tough to store.  So I'm not adding them to the river sections as currently they all stack nicely in one box.
