Played a game earlier today and the close assault rules confused the hell out of me. Can someone explain it in words of one syllable or less for me please?

It's not difficult, just not very well written.
1) Check the CA value of both sides, this gives the base line dice thrown.
2) Add 1 die for the attacker
3) Add the number of dice for supports, this is any element with a ranged factor with in 10cm
4) Subtract 1 die for each of the following - Supressed, attacked in rear, attacked in flank.
Both sides roll, hits are allocated on the scores normally required, ie 4,5,6 - 5,6 or 6 respectively. The terrain mods only apply on the first move of combat, otherwise its 4,5,6.
Results are laid out in the rules.

Thanks Ian, if armour is attacked does it still get to roll it's saves?
Cheers
