Title: SYW What figures to use for Chasseurs de Fischer?
Post by: elainepat on 04 March 2018, 06:31:02 AM
According to Kronoskaf, the foot companies of the Chasseurs de Fischer wore what looks like a light infantry cap.  Would the light infantry from the FIW range work for this unit?  Or should I use Prussian Fusiliers & paint the short mitre to look like cloth?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

FI12 (Late light infantry, Amherst's/Wolfe's reforms) from the French Indian War
selection looks pretty close.

Might also be worth looking at the AWI British light infantry.   Quite a few choices
there are useful.

Personally, I would go with FI12, as this gives a more burdened down, in the field
look.

I have always seen them depicted wearing a mirilton with the wing. May ave to do a head swap from a hussar with that headgear and an infantry body. I ave not seen them depicted in a British style LI cap, but it's always possible.
