Any photos available of the above code, would it be suitable for a 1940's French force

Not seen it, but if it's a German code then almost certainly no.

Yes it is
( the german used it on some battles or as a training tank : Panzerkampfwagen B-2 740 (f). )
Here's one of mine, as a french 1940 from a Division Cuirassée:

( I added some holes as they can get hit and go on as nothing happened - in 1940  ;) )

just need to find replacements for Latil M7 and AMR ZT 25mm and some sort of radio vehicle

Currently trying to assemble French 3rd Armored Division 1940
