Sadly our good friend Colin Lambert known on this forum as Albie Bach passed away this morning after fighting cancer for some time.
He was a valued member of Tring Wargames Club for many years and often hosted games at his house. Many of the club took part in a flurry of games at his house in November knowing that his time was limited. I think we managed to give most of his collection one last outing.
He will be missed
Our thoughts are with his family especially his wife Lynne.
I wasn't lucky enough to know him, but I am sure he appreciated your friendship as much as you appreciated his. My sympathies to you and his family, and I hope you can hold on to all the happy memories.

My condolences to you and his family.
Many condolences.
My condolences to all concerned :(. From memory I met him at Colours a few years ago and had a nice chat with him, most likely to do with Dux Bellorum. A sad loss.
Sad news.
Never met him (that I'm aware of) but his posts were always on point and his "Fighting the Great Patriotic War one battle at a time" post last summer sparked off a re-run of our BKC Kursk mini-campaign which was such fun I reckon I owe him.
Condolences to friends and family.
My condolences to all who knew him :(
Sad news, indeed. :(
My condolences. :(
Sorry to hear this Mark, I hope his family are doing as well as can be expected. I'd only met Colin on a couple of occasions at the shows but we'd chatted on email many times. It always feels strange when we hear of a passing like this, as even though we're not proper 'friends', we know all of you as more than just customers. We meet at shows, we speak on the phone, we chat over emails, so it always feels extremely sad to hear that someone has gone.
I've just realised that Colin was our very last participant in the 'In The Line of Fire' interviews: http://www.pendrakenforum.co.uk/index.php/topic,8886.0.html There's some good stuff in there, including a wargames room that's far too tidy!
My condolences to all concerned :( :(
My condolences too.
My condolences!
Hard news.
May his wife, family, and friends find comfort.
Sad news. Thoughts are with you.
Just re-read 'In the Line of Fire' and it definitely was Colin I met at the show. We talked a lot about Dux Bellorum, which figures I had used etc and gaming in general. Sad he has gone but at least I have this good memory of him.
That IS very sad to hear.
Condolences to his family and friends.
Cheers - Phil :(
Very sad indeed my condolences to the family
Take care
Andy

It always makes me sad to hear when one of the members of our little miniature gaming community pass away. Although a lot of us never really meet because of the distances between our locations, I still feel like we get a small sampling of each other through forums like this. My condolences to those who knew him and his family.

:(
My condolences. In his posts he came across as a really nice chap.
Sorry to hear this.
My condolences to his family.
Colin was a genuinely nice guy and will be sorely missed. It was always fun gaming with him, whether at club or at our respective houses. The loss of a friend is always sad, but all the more so when they did not even make retirement age.
Sad to hear.
My condolences to all who knew him.

My condolences to all :(
