Planet Earth will get in the way somehow.
Osprey's Battle of Monmouth - still to get my money back (like SteveJ, "given" by family but bought by me).
Vlad the Impaler: The Real Dracula - can't wait to get my teeth into that.
An annual subscription to Origami TV so I can watch all my favourite stuff - not as great as you might think (it's paper view).
:)
I'll get my coat ...
Loads of Pendraken ACW buildings
Lots of Dice and a dice bag for Sword and Spear ( that I got for my birthday 2 weeks ago)
Box of Perry Plastic Sudannese for The Men Who Would be Kings

And lots of other non gaming stuff
Nothing whatsoever gaming-related, but eldest son bought me this (https://www.amazon.co.uk/Game-Thrones-Heat-Changing-Mug/dp/B0727WPT77/ref=sr_1_9?s=kitchen&ie=UTF8&qid=1514383428&sr=1-9&keywords=game+of+thrones+mug), which has got to be my favourite present ever, I think.
Love that quote.
Cheers, M.

Hmmm,
As I am undecided what period to do for my next 10mm collection. (still doing my French Guard and Austrians that I picked up at 'Colours')
I have been wanting to do Russians in pre 1812 uniform for my 28mm.
So I took advantage of the Casting Room Miniature sale for Christmas, 16 blisters and 6 for free.
So I now have 3 x 24 man battalions of line.
2 x 24 man Battalions of Grenadiers.
and 1 x 24 man Battalion of Jaegers
Early Russian Command figures, 6 dismounted 3 mounted.
This finally finishes off my Russians for Black Powder. I have a unit of Don Cossacks and Dragoons, 3 Inf gun and crew, 1 Horse gun and crew and 1 unit of 32 Pavlov Grenadiers.
Saved myself 72 pounds which equates to $122CAD. So happy, very happy.
Merry Christmas me! ;)
And to all of you I wish you an Excellent New Year filled with 6s on your dice and paint on your miniatures. :D
My daughter came up with the Haynes Guide to the British Tommy 1914-18 plus the DVD set of the BBC's The Somme 1916 from both sides of the wire. Knows me well! :)
A most enticing Creuset casserole. It shall be put to good use.
I got two emergency trips to a hospital on the other side of town.
Read my blog if you like horror stories.
Bloody hell Roy, that sounds unfun. I had something food poisoning related the week before Xmas. Meant the missus had to do all the prep work. Not sure I got the best of the bargain, but even so it was more fun than your time :S
Blimey, you guys are having it rough, get well soon all.
Hope you're both on the mend and feeling better asap.
I assume you're feeling 'better' by now, Pixie.
Jim.
Having read your blog, I'll wish you all the very best. (I'll send a PM, too.)
Cheers - Phil
Blimey Jim, you are going through the wringer! My Dad had a tumour on his kidney and, fingers crossed, he is all ok, hale and hearty a year after the op. He spent Xmas in hospital having had the op Xmas Eve IIRC. Hope it all goes well for you as it has for Dad.
Oooft!! All the best, Jim. Hope Santa brought you some good books for the hospital. You'll be in my thoughts on the 8th.* Hope all goes well.
*have a colonoscopy scheduled for that day - not anticipating anything problematical - hopefully just precautionary.
This forum gets more like an episode of Emergency Ward 10/ Angels/ Casualty/ Holby City* on a disturbingly regular basis so all the best to all of those suffering ailments and conditions permanent or temporary!
Here's to better health/ good outcomes for all in the New Year!
*pick your era and/ or local equivalent
Cheers Phil, I was recovered just in time for a manic Xmas fest :D
Hope all goes well with everyone else's rather more important bits and bobs. If it's got to be a medical soap drama, I hope the end of the feel good episode where they sort people out and not a high drama end of season special ;)
