Title: German Early WW1 cavalry
Post by: Dr Dave on 21 December 2017, 04:39:21 PM
GP42 kuirassier with lance
GP45 dragoon

Am I right in thinking that the only real difference between them is that 42 are in covered kurassier helmets and 45 are in pickelhaube?

The Cuirassiers did indeed wear the the polished cuirassier helmet, whilst the dragoons wore the leather pickelhaub. Both were covered in 1914, although the battle of Halen in 1914 was nicknamed by the Belgians the Battle of the Silver Helmets since the German cuirassiers were present.
