Bad start. I had two ambushes, but the dam' Yankees have a spotter balloon. There goes the element of surprise.

Maize in the cornfield is as high as a elephant's eye; I measured it. Admittedly, not using a TB elephant. Also admitted, the maize looks more like tobacco. Ah, well, the Virginian forces did very well on my right flank today.

Note Uncle Tom's cabin next to the field.
