The Tank Museum apparently sells a selection of these for various vehicles. Never checked out which though.

It wouldn't work for an S3 Landrover though, would it...?  :P

Cheers,
Rob

I misread it as "Centaur Maintenance".

There are quite a few, including The Millennium Falcon among others. From what I've read the Cent one will induce nightmares. It was/is a superb MBT, but a fitters pain, not designed ergonomically when it came to servicing.

I think they shared some parts.  The M.O.D. being as it is.

Got it for my birthday in July  :D

It's very interesting, being both a history of the fine vehicle with some practical guide to actually maintaining one.

The next logical step is to go out and buy one of the things. I await pictures.

If Nobby ever wins the lottery, I'm sure he'll treat himself.

How much do folk ask for them ?

Prices seem a bit hard to come by, but from what I have seen, not stupid money, 10s of thousands, so around the price of a high end saloon car, not a sports car.

This one was sold for $66.700,- three years ago.

I think one of these would run to more than a few 10s of thousands ... manual is only £15.99 though!

I just remembered, a friend of mine has a T-shirt with the cover of the Haynes manual for an AT-AT on it. Must ask if he has the manual or just the T-shirt...

Owners workshop manuals  they never wrote for some unknown reason :) and the possible reason

The Wife - impossible to get right at any time as the correct maintenance will be wrong at that particular moment in time.

The Husband - No maintenance needed as he already believes he is correctly maintained, and no book is going to tell him otherwise

The Teenage boy - No researcher could stand being in their room for long enough to research them even with a gas mask.

The Teenage Girl - Researchers notes so covered with Make up,  lipstick and tears it was impossible to read

The Mistress - If you have one of these you should already know what to do. If not you are in for so much Sh*t no book will help

So standard British tank design perhaps?
