Came across this site while looking up some background stuff for our Solomons Campaign:
https://www.history.navy.mil/research/library/online-reading-room/title-list-alphabetically.html
Looks like a goldmine for naval nerds like me :-B

Good grief.
That looks pretty comprehensive !

The US military are very good at the historical stuff. Beware though, sometimes you need a security rating to access it.

They're pretty good at current stuff as well. Search for (example) "us army field manuals" and you'll find a wealth of interesting stuff.

Hmmm, nice!
You already know these I guess:
http://www.navsource.org/ (http://www.navsource.org/)
http://www.shipcamouflage.com/measures.htm (http://www.shipcamouflage.com/measures.htm)
very nice when painting USN vessels.
Cheers,
Rob
I think I came across images from the first site but have re-bookmarked it to be sure ;)
The second was invaluable when I painted my US ships, all are in the appropriate Measures for late 1942, or their first Measure if they came into service later :-B :-B :-B
Just out of interest, is there such a site for the British Navy? I remember trying unsuccessfully a few years ago. Ta.

Not that I know Subedai though I know that there's a guy who has geathered all the info on british vessels and publihed two (I believe) books on the subject. If you're interested I'll try and find his name.
Cheers,
Rob
No, it's okay, I was just wondering. Only really a fringe interest.
Thanks anyway.

Mal Wright is the 'guy', apparently the books are extremely detailed and useful
That's the one! Thanks Paul.
