Title: My new toy
Post by: Sandinista on 16 September 2017, 06:03:54 AM
Treated myself to a new bike, 1200cc of loveliness in the form of a Triumph Bonnieville Bobber. Rode it back from Aukland earlier today, handles like a dream and the engine sounds so good  :D :D 8) 8)

I may not get a lot of painting done in the next few months  :D :D

Cheers
Ian

No you will be in hospital for most of it....middle aged crisis me thinks (and I'm jealous).

It is an addition to the SV650S which I brought with me from the UK, I have been riding for over 25 years including several as a courier in central London. So hardly a middle age crisis buy  :D

The wargames figures are more like middle age crisis purchases  ;D ;D ;D

cheers

I hope...that you're probably safer in NZ than you would be in the UK, Ian.

Not into bikes, myself......But if that's your other passion......Enjoy, Matey.......Keep safe.

Always safer to wear a helmet, if only Mr Trump senior had done...  ;)

I like the look and sound of bikes -proper bikes, not hairdryers- but I can't drive and have only ever been on the back of a 650 BSA once and that was weaving in and out of traffic on the Hagley Road coming into Birmingham during morning rush hour. Having to lean the wrong way as you turn a corner is one thing but seeing the macadam flashing by at a rate of knots not that far away is a very sobering experience. I'm sure the rider had bruises from my death grip around his waist.

Nope, not for me.

Cool bike!
Triumph is one of the few makes I would consider beside my own machine.
If only we had the weather here in the Netherlands to ride more often...

Cheers and have fun!

Well it is only the 3rd week of spring  :)
On the plus side it has allowed me to finish painting my 15mm Wars of the Roses armies
