Title: Ordering problem
Post by: fsn on 19 August 2017, 08:18:14 PM
Am I being daft chaps? (Don't answer that.)

Tried to put in an order on the website.

Picked the postage rates.

Tried to click on Paypal.

Sickening click, like the hammer hitting an empty cylinder.

What am I doing wrong?

(Tried logging in, logging out; tried on Chrome and on Firefox.)

I am not sure, the only way I can be is to place an order, but I am not ready for that yet.

Are you ordering on your correct "Pendraken Order Day"?

Perhaps your computer has learnt this and will not allow you to order at other times?

Have you checked your account details to see if all necessary fields are filled? IIRC there were some changes made? Can't hurt to check it. Even though they should have your address details in large golden letters in a prominent place on the unit wall.  :P

a) Saturday after pay day = Pendraken ordering day. Check.
b) I've updated my details and they show on the order page - even the P&P rates.

Still no luck!  :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

I'm sure Leon will sort it out when he gets back, Nobby.

Are you using the correct email for PayPal?

The payment buttons are greyed out.

The details look fine, but Pendraken just doesn't want my money.

You are logged into the website aren't you?

Yes.

Logged in - ordered - nothing.

Logged out - ordered - logged in - nothing.

How many hours to Middle Borough from Runcorn? Will they take cash?    :-S

Maybe you have bought everything and there's nothing left

Haven't other folk had a similar problem in the past month or two ?

Didn't something on the site need tweaking, for some individuals ?

I had to fill in quite a few of the empty address fields with basically duplicate information to get the paypal button to work.

Normally I'm quite good at working out these things - started life as a proper programmer. Made the mistake of assuming that something as barmy as having to fill in all the fields wouldn't be the problem, and also ... it worked last time.

Peace reigns in sunny Runcorn.

Before you sits one happy Nobby.

Apologies for the trouble with this, we changed the address fields from a single box to multiple fields instead and it's caused a few people to have niggles.  We're hoping these will get ironed out as people place further orders but we'll remove the original box at some point and manually move over any info if need be.

Let me just summarise the situation.

1)

... caused a few people to have niggles.

2) Sudden departure on holiday of Leon, Milady and favoured offspring
3) FSN always places an order at about the same time every month.

Gentlemen, I must ask ... coincidence, or was Nobby nobbled?  :-\

:P

I've just been having the same problem when I log on. However I tried to fill in the address details it wouldn't let me get to PayPal.
In the end I gave up and placed an order as a guest and had no problems.
