Went to see Dunkirk at the IMAX WOW
Dave
I've seen it too in the cinema but to be honest I was not impressed...
The Spitfire glider with the rear mouted engine was impressive though! :-
Best regards,
Rob

I was more thinking about how did they do that and not looking at the back
Dave
When the Spitfire was on the beach burning first of all you saw the whole plane burn up, of course, cause the model they burned was mainly made up of wood and canvas. The real thing of course was made of metal... This revealed though that there wasn't anything resembling an engine where it should be; just a long shaft running from the propellor all the way to the rear... hence my assumption that it might be a prototype with the engine mounted in the rear. :d
Cheers,
Rob
I watched it the other day with my mother in law. Her father was in three ships that were sunk there, the third being the one that finished him off. That "real life" link made the film feel a lot more intense for me.
Does Harry stiles get shot.
No, don't worry - he's fine and makes it safe home.
I can imagine how concerned you were.
Pity.
I won't watch it now.
I was hoping to see his head go in one direction and his body in another.
Jim
Bit harsh.
Leman,
Think you missed the poorly conceived '1direction' joke in there...
But I do agree
Might actually have got that if I'd been 13 and a girl.
