Title: Camps, as in Ancient Camps
Post by: jimduncanuk on 09 May 2017, 02:02:25 PM
No Jokes please (difficult I know).

I'll be moving into To The Strongest in 10/12mm later in the year.

I have Maurayan Indians, Greeks and Republican Romans in 10mm and Normans and Teutonic Knights in 12mm.

I'll be needing a couple of camps to meet the game guidelines.

Any suggestions.

I don't want to scratch build them if I can avoid it.

Yes I think the Pendraken carts would work OK for most periods, particularly now that we can get cattle to proxie as the draft animals.
The campfires (DUN_FUR5) would be good. Gabions could be cut down pretty easily to make wicket baskets for storage. I make tents out of folded paper but don't know the shapes you need.(I do A-frame and conical easily - no fuss no muss).

Baueda do some nice 15mm ones - not sure if they'd fit in with either the rules or the figures but might be worth a look.

A supply of Leven's 6mm resin tents crosses many temporal and geographic boundaries.
