Title: Here comes Panzer-Kalle
Post by: Panzer-Kalle on 01 May 2017, 07:59:22 AM
I´m an old BKC-Veteran (since 2005).

I retire this week ( after 44 years hunting smugglers at the swiss-german border).

I have now a lot of time!

BKCIII on the way!

Cheers Kalle

Hello Kalle and willkommen, bienvenue, welcome! It can be a bit of a cabaret here sometimes but I hope you have fun with us crognards!
Btw which side of the border? I was rather impressed with the border guard kit on display at the Bavarian police museum, including their mortars. Seemed like serious business :)
Cheers,
Aksu from Finland

Welcome kalle!

Remember seeing your pictures over at the old bkc site. You used 1/72 kit in your games, am I correct?

Mortars for the border guards? Now that is serious business. Did they think the Swiss were going to illegally export a couple of pike keils :D

And hello here, Kalle :)

Bavarian Borderpolice had hot border (East Germany) to secure! So need  mortars!

Former Bundesgrenzschutz even had light tanks (Saladins)! 8)

Ah, that border! Yes, mortars and armoured cars are probably better for stopping tanks. Not so good for stopping tax evasion. Unless you're de Gail, of course :)

Hello Panzer-Kalle, back un '85 I was in HM Customs and Excise at Dover. Remember boarding Russian ships in the days of them having Commisar's on board. Seems long ago now. Welcome/Wilkommen to the forum! Urbancohort
