Title: 3mm
Post by: Bunny on 29 April 2017, 10:08:51 AM
Not wanting to commit heresy here but I've just bought CWC and some Oddzial Osmy 3mm micro armour.  I bought them just as an experiment to see what they were like and I like them.

For CWC, a base representing a platoon the 3mm minis give me the oppotunity to mount the correct number of vehicles on one base.  I like tank armies to be 1 to 1 lol.

has anyone else used these minis to make up their armies?

I have some WW2 stuff for a BKC project but will mostly likely hold off until Rommel is released. They are lovely sculpts and look nice 3 to a base

Ive used some of their ACW minis and the TBM 3mm buildings, plus the 3mm paper terrain from the USA. Peter Pig also does some 3mm terrain  pieces which my prove useful.

Good stuff from Nik.  Like a lot of us he cut his teeth on Ian Kay's 2mm many years ago.  I have to say I have joined the one tank/APC per base
and halve the CWC/BKC movement tables.
I add PT Dockyard monitors and H&R coastal units for additional game fun.

Sorry for the delay in replying...real life & all that :(

Snow for me is PVA + polyfilla + white 'flock' from Scenic Base...gloop it up & go with it :)

I'd use my normal sand - and paint it white. Probably a bit big for 3mm though.

Don't know if this is of use?

Its Team Yankee in 3mm. I don't know how James has organised/based it - except I'm sure the units have the correct number of vehicles as real life.
I also can't remember what house rules he decided upon (should any be interested), but he'll be happy to explain I'd imagine.

Oh, the ACW unit in the photo is 10mm Pendraken  :D
