Title: Perry TravelBattle now out - first impressions.
Post by: Norm on 27 April 2017, 11:30:15 AM
The new Perry 8mm plastics on a square grid battlefield is out now and my pre-order arrived yesterday.

I have done a fairly detailed 1st impressions post over on the blog.

Great write-up, Norm, much appreciated.  Or maybe not; I certainly don't need it, but now I want it ;)

I know it's no different than buying the pieces yourself, but there's just something that grabs my psyche about buying a box that has everything I need in it.  I'm lucky more companies don't do it!

V/R,
Jack

Very nice Norm.  I'm seriously considering picking up a copy now.

Nice review Norm!

Was hoping to get this one, but still waiting it out a bit. Have burnt through my hobby budget a lot lately, so taking it slow. Can se myself getting this one in the future though!

Nice review, but how does the game play?

Fortunately for my bank balance this still looks like a solution looking for a problem to me. Good write up none the less.

My box arrived yesterday and I was pleased with the contents, especially as I am keen on small scale gaming. I visualise using this simply as a red v blue set (although I intend to paint up the figures as 1840s Sardinians and Danes). As Norm mentioned, i am likely to use this in conjunction with some of the One Hour scenarios. Looking forward to giving it a go shortly (but busy painting up SYW light troops at the mo).

Those concerned about the price should take a look at the Caliver website.
