Now just texture and paint and you're done! :D :D :D :D
Good stuff, Peter! :-bd
Hear, hear !
Cheers - Phil.
Very simple but very effective job. m/
+1!

Nifty idea.

Looks good!
Like to see it finished. :D
Ingenious and yet simple ! :-bd :-bd
If you were minded - some N gauge card stone sheets from Metcalfe - could be cut to shape and would clad the walls, piers and bridge surface.
I have a plastic two arch bridge, and I need a destroyed version. Seeing what you have achieved, I am inspired to have a go.
Thanks for sharing.
I thought about printing a stone design and putting it on, but i'll see how far i can get with texture paint first.
I went along and made some for the big lads too:

Hello
Very good. If you don't want to go the stone sheets you could always make your own by printing texture and gluing to the card/mdf before construction:-

Just google image "free rock wall graphic texture" or "free cobblestone graphic texture" for oodles of examples :)

Good job guys!
The responses reminded me of a bunch of brick patterns i had printed long ago, for a project that never developped. Luckily i didn't throw them out.
Was still tornbetween brick pattern and texture paint, so in the end, i just combined them to make some wheatered bridges!!

Still needs another layer of texture paint to hide the edges of the paper patterns, but looking ok so far!
Will probably do a green wash ath the bottom too when finished, where the water would hit the bridge.
Wouldn't call those 50% immoral.
They have come out very nicely, good work Peter!
I have a glue gun! I have some brick-effect paper!
I may be inspired.

Go forth and reproduce!!!
The bridges, not yourself. Just to be clear :D
Very nice! 8)
Decided that my bridges needed some roughin' up, so i added some flock here and there to give that ill-maintained look. just painted some glue in between the stonework and sprinkled them with flock.

Rough looking bridges ! Now you need a dice to establish if they are safe to cross.
Not yet, first i have to make damaged models :D :D
Really like the planking you've put on your bridges, Jack!
Also, GOM, thanks - you have come through once again. That was the perfect search string for the texture I want.
They look bonza :)
I'm half tempted for Frostgrave, with some snow instead of flock :D
Go for it!
If I were to start over, I would take foamboard for the sides of the bigger once though. The cardboard is just a bit on the thin side compared to 28 mm figs

Only 7 bridges :-\
Need a burning one for Kelly's Heroes scenarios.
Damn it, now I have the Mike Curb Congretion in my head. As well as the "Battlehymn of the Republic" on kazoo...
Hello All
While thinking about construction I was reminded of this site that allows you to design, scale and print your own brick paper:-
http://www.paperbrick.co.uk/index.php?action=home (http://www.paperbrick.co.uk/index.php?action=home)
More options for bricks than you can poke a stick at (if that's your idea of fun :D)
Cheers

Listen to Judy Garland singing the latter. Even though she can't get the lyrics straight she shows just what a singer she was.
