Title: New Moscow ranges
Post by: grahambeyrout on 13 March 2017, 11:12:35 PM
My apologies if has been covered, but my search only found posts from 2011
I have some Napoleonic French 1809 figures and I want to mix them with the Moscow ranges which are marked new in the catalogue
Are the ranges compatible on size and bulk? . I ask because I know that there is some difference in the ACW old and new ranges

Hi Graham,

first off, welcome to the forum as it seems to be your first post.

I'm building a French army for the 1812 campaign, the core of which is an earlier project using the 1809 figures.  As far as I'm concerned, the units mix well and there are no glaring discrepancies between the ranges.

perhaps if you're a purist you might see some slight différences, but for me it works okay en masse.

Welcome to the forum, Graham. I am pleased that you have gotten at least one useful answer (suspect you will get others), the rest of us are just happy to welcome you.

Moscow, Idaho is indeed very frosty this time of year, Wulf.

The Moscow south of Glasgow has defrosted by now.

The Moscow ranges were all done about 10 years ago now, as opposed to the more recent 1809 and 1812-15 ranges, but they are all very similar in both style and size so they should mix in fine with each other, no problem.
