When working in Africa I hitched a few rides in a Porter. Great little aircraft - ideal for bushwars, and a change from the DC-3. They even have a COIN application as a light attack aircraft (they can take 1,925lb of ordinance on hard points),

Hello James/Sunray
Wrote about these 18 months ago :P, nice to see they've been released.

Also you might be interested to see that Miniwings are bringing out T-28 Trojans and North-American Harvard MkII's which I can imagine doing sterling service in many bush/jungle and desert wars :).

Thanks Vic. I have to limit my airpower! :'(Yes, they make swell eye candy, but as I don't actually do air combat, they are a waste of dosh- so unless they have a tactical bonus like the Porter (and cheaper than other utility transports) I will pass them bye.
In my games, dice/history decided air superiority, and the 1960/70 fighters were actually poor on COIN.
My RED airforce has a brace of MiG 15s, and a brace of Delfins. The BLUE force, when they gain air superiority, has one Sabre, one Dauntless and a Marauder.
A budget version of a Venom, Meteor or Shooting Star would be very nice. The upswept wing and slow speed make for ideal ground attack - which is what made the Jet Provost/Strikemaster and Dragonfly so useful.
Keep your eyes peeled. 8) 8)
