This afternoon; Lee and I are taking on the might of the Zulu kingdom, led by Viljar and visiting UK gamer Johnny. Watch this space.
Hmmm...less said the better.
Another loss ?
Sounds like it
The messenger was probably killed with the dispatch.
<crickets>
Long pause
I take it it was a trap.
Can't wait for the re-fight.
Can just see it. FK's vengeful legions surging forward shouting their battle cry, "Remember Idolobha wabantu abayiziphukuphuku!!"
.... on second thoughts, maybe not. :)

Maybe change that to : Remember all the things.
Otherwise they won't be in before tea
So was it FK or Lee that comes from Idolobha wabantu abayiziphukuphuku ;)
I used to teach in the area. The name means Place of Silly People, and the town doesn't actually exist.
(though it should)

Google translates it as the Town of the Stupid People ;)
Having successfully diverted to a secondary subject, I assume the result of the battle was less than optimum?
Actually, I've beaten my opponents many times recently. Losing this one was probably good policy.
A couple of action shots. Hapless Brits were wrong-footed from the beginning.
Looks an impressive set up FK!
Doubly so!
.. especially if you duplicate the photograph. :P

I will admit this is a great opening for the Battle Report - Magnificent framing - Well done. :)
Incidently, I'm not sure that I counted correctly - I seem to be seeing only two calvary and one infantry (supported by a gun) on the Imperial side. Also, to the west of the farthest copse of trees there appears to be an overturned gun. Is any of this correct?
Scenario game; imperial forces were coming on in column. Alas, the Zulus closed so fast that they were chewing up my army faster than it could get out of the kitchen (fancy metaphors, eh?).
This was intended to be post number two. Forgive a senile duffer.
Yes, thanks, this last picture (from what in sports is called "reverse angle") and your scenario description made it much easier to see what was happening. Incidently, I figured out that what I took to be an "overturned gun" was actually a shrub. So - from one senile duffer to another...
Ouch!
