Title: Wish him well....
Post by: Techno on 30 December 2016, 08:38:07 AM
For a change, it's not yours truly that has managed to injure himself. (SHOCK HORROR - TECHNO AVOIDS INJURY.)

But I learn, that one of our esteemed colleagues has had an accident involving a slippery, icy kerb, leading to a damaged ankle and two sprained (at least) wrists. (Sounds as though he's broken something in one.)

That's put paid to his painting over the holidays.  :(

Hope you feel better soon , Matey !
I won't embarrass him by naming him......(The daft Oik !) ;)

Cheers - Phil

Thanks, chaps.

Been to the hospital today, two sprained wrists. Buttons are difficult. Door handles are difficult. Typing is like hitting the keyboard with a club.

6-8 weeks with no painting. :(

Pleased to hear nothing's broken, Nobby.

Glad you had it checked though !

6-8 weeks, no painting ?.......That sounds a bit excessive.  :o
Would have thought that painting wee men and tanks, would be like nice gentle physio after a SHORT break.
Sue the Council !

Get well asap, Matey.

Cheers - Phil

#-o Was it a slip road?

Joking aside, could have been more serious. Glad to read there's no broken bones.

Get well soon.

Hope you have a speedy recovery, Mi'lord. Falls totally suck!
Impressed that you are still using a keyboard despite the pain - good on you.
Have you thought about one of the speak-type apps?

You need to "Kerb"your silly walks and make sure you walk n"ICE"ly along the pavement.  :d

Look on the bright side. If you can't paint there is no need to order anything, so you can afford extra visits from Miss Whiplash!!  ;)   Especially as you have two sprained wrists  :-&

Wishing you a speedy recovery.

Good to see your sense of humour hasn't been affected :)

6-8 weeks off painting :o it's a good thing there won't be a painting competition in 2017 ;)

Get well soon

I have a feeling that my painting may not be that badly affected.  :(

In fact. It may be improved by having my wrists strapped up.

Thanks all. To be honest, it's very inconvnient.

Last night I had a dream that I was being tended by the lovely Gillian Anderson, because of my crushed wrists. She fed me, she patted my brow, she tended my every need.

So it was my dream.

What happened to Anne Hathaway?

Prehapes a collection Durer copper plates? The deed to Runcorn Manor along with the Title? A small private island off the coast of Saint-Tropez?

Radically different interpretation such as this is why there will always be war.  :)
