Title: Hello from Wales
Post by: andymac on 11 October 2010, 10:39:28 AM
Hi there, I thought it was about time I introduced myself as pictures of my work have been apearing on the forum for sometime.  I paint figures as a hobby and have been lucky enough to paint for several figure companies as well as collectors and gamers.

Although I started out painting 28mm figures (I still do some every now and then) I think I have found my scale with 10mm and going by the comments left, some of you agree with me.  I must admit it does help when the figures are as well sculpted as Gareth's AWI range.

You can check out more of my work at the following sites:

At the moment I only paint figures for other people as my nearest gaming club is a 70 mile round trip, this will hopefully change in a couple of months as it looks like Carmarthen will soon have it's very own Wargames Club ;D.

Well that's about it for now.

Welcome to the forum Andy, good to see you've finally joined.

That last batch of AWI painting is superb, and has inspired me to get some more AWI stuff done over the next few weeks.

I'm glad to see that civilisation is reaching even Carmarthen  :) Who knows - one day it might even reach Didcot!

And thanks for the link to your 10mm painting. Any chance you could perhaps buy and paint one of each figure made in 10mm so that we could use you as a universal catalogue?  ;)

Hi Nic,

Sorry for not getting back to you, I have painted 5 British standing figures in a row in progression, I only need to find time to do a write up and I will get it posted.  I will try to get it done before the end of the month.  I have a 4 x 6 foot games table to do over the next couple of weeks and will fit it in when I need a break.

Just read the post, some very kind words.

All the best
