Hi Guys,
Courtesy of Leon, I thought I would share with you the basing of Kev's recently painted Jacobite pikemen recruited, however unhistorically, into my Strathbogie Regiment for Montrose's army of the late 1640s. Lots more to base, highlanders among them. More picccies to come!

Like them! Particularly the placement of the flags in the pike block - nice!
Also - you can have only so many figures in Hodden grey - these are Gordons - they can wear tartan. :)
Retrospectively - I wish I had used some of those Jacobite pikemen myself.
Looking forward to seeing the rest.
Looking great!
Cracking - I do like a good meaty pike block :)
Very nice Mollinary :)
As V&B ECW house rules are not really "developed" and I don't have time/resources to DIY I've been inspired enough to get a copy of Baroque and try some test games over the hols (in between completing Mrs Shy's to do list of stuff round the house of course ;) ) so we will get to play DBA and ECW in some form in 2017 :-bd
Definitely "borrow" the idea of using some of the Jacobite pikemen.
What range figures are you using for the shot "sleeves" of your Strathbogie Regiment ECW or Jacobites?
Look forward to seeing the rest of your Scots Royalists.
Thanks for posting.
Definitely rather splendid ! :-bd
Cheers - Phil
They do look rather nice.
Attractive (the word is not too strong).
Nicely done! :-bd
cool.
have you stabbed yourself with the pike tips yet?
Very nice indeed
Take care
Andy
A good looking pike block there.
